International Designs

The Hague Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Industrial Designs offers for persons resident in a member nation via the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva the possibility of applying for an industrial design centrally in any member nations of the Agreement.

More than 40 countries are signatories to the Hague Agreement concerning industrial designs, the majority of which are also countries of the European Union. Protection is for duration of 5 years as of the date of filing an application and can be extended each time for a period of 5 years up to a total extension of 25 years.
